Spending Time With The Father

 

 

 

  Mt 11:25-27

The Father Revealed in the Son

²⁵ At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. ²⁶ Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

²⁷ “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

We spend time each day in a good way coming to know the Father through our praying with the Scriptures, reflecting on them, absorbing them and making them part of our thinking and acting Can we see ourselves at the feet of Jesus, as in the image included with today's Slice of Bread? It's an ideal and a motivation to put aside our "To Do List", or better, make it number one on that list, and just spend some QUIET TIME with Jesus. We will be amazed at the peace and insight we receive just by allowing Jesus to speak to our uncluttered hearts.  It's time for us to become little children again.
