Doing God's Will Is Best

²⁷ And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

²⁸ But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Succinctly, Jesus sums up the key to spiritual growth: "listening and doing".  The same principle comes from the lips of Mary at the wedding reception at Cana:  "Do whatever he tells you." (Jn 2: 5 ) It's a call to take the time daily to sit quietly and listen with as few distractions as possible and hear God's voice speak to our hearts. Why not take some time NOW to do just that?
