March 1: First Saturday in honor of Mary; St. David of Wales, archbishop and monk, meteorological first day of spring (hard to accept), lion-like entry into a new month. Many contrasting themes as we begin a new month; we can look back in gratitude for the events of February that feasted us or challenged us; we can look ahead to Lent and what we intend to do to make it a significant time for us, and as always, we can remember that all of it comes from our loving God.
