All Serve

 Luke 8: 1-3

 Women Disciples

After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

Today we we a glimpse  of the practical side of the ministry of Jesus and the Apostles: the women who saw to their food and perhaps even their laundry! These women had been graced in some way, healings from physical or spiritual deficiencies, and showed their gratitude by willingly taking care of these necessities. Their presence and service inspire us to offer whatever we can to our local community to keep it effective and faithful to carrying out its mission. What can I do to help?

Bro. Rene

Dear God, show me what needs to be done and give me the grace to just do it! Amen
