Lord, That I May Know You.

Matthew 11: 25-27

The Father Revealed in the Son

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

We have a long life to live before we fully know the Father and that knowledge will come only in the next life when we see him face to face. While here on earth, we have the Scriptures, the writings of the saints who have seen and heard him, and our own prayer time. It's not that difficult, but rather simple if we can convince ourselves to set aside time each day with quiet reflection in his presence, prompted by some verses from the Psalms or the New Testament. Learning to listen comes with time spent on a regular basis and reaches a point when we feel robbed if we don't do it. If you haven't ever done this, now is a good time to begin. Let us be receptive "little children" right now!

Bro, Rene

Dear God, thank you for the call to spend time with you. Help me to make this a daily priority. Amen.
